Sarah and Shane

I had the honor of shooting and putting together a quick edit for Sarah and Shane before they went on their honeymoon this morning. Their wedding was beautiful and very genuine. It took place on Sunday and I was able to make this edit for them Monday night before they left very early Tuesday morning. Shane has become a great friend of mine and I remind myself how lucky I am to have such a great person in my life. I look forward to working with Shane in the future and also getting to know Sarah more. Congratulations Sarah and Shane!

UPDATE!

Ok it has been 2 months since I updated! It is just not fair for my 6 followers and please accept my deepest apologies. A lot and I mean a lot has been going on here. Since June I have had some video projects including an instructional swim lesson video DVD. I am working with the head coach from West Chester and recorded two full weeks of three sessions to get the entire process of teaching your child how to swim. The DVDs will begin with the incoming swim lesson teachers to watch and learn from. Hopefully we can get it to take off and sell many more. I landed a job at West Chester University as the Information Technology Technician in the video production studio. We do a lot of stuff here and had some time after hours to mess around with the new Canon 5D Mark II we got. We created this video and originally received 4,000 views in one night but had to take it down due to leaving WCU's name in it. I reposted and lost all the views but here it is. Be sure to check it out until the end to see part 2.

While at West Chester I had the pleasure to meet and work with Molly Nece. You can check her out at http://mollysunshinegroup.com/
She is a very inspirational person and I am in the middle of helping her create a promotional video for her business. This is just one of several typography videos I will be doing for her. When I sent it over to her she responded with this:
you ROCK!!!! and LOVE IT!!
And also,
"From Ty, our 6 year old's mouth, "WOW!!!" No kidding... that's exactly what he said."

Hmm what else have I been doing this summer...
I put together a timelapse reel of most of my timelapses from the past year. I don't exactly love doing timelapses, I only love watching them. They can be pretty tricky and I am still learning.

While at West Chester in the first month of employment I was supposed to create a Distance Education Video for our CIO and Vice President of Information Services! This is what I came up with within a month.

From a more technical side I was able to get the Technicolor Cinestyle Picture Style on my Canon 60D. In this video, Alex did a great job of being talent but I also shot a couple seconds with and without the picture style. I just did some basic color correction and have yet to use it for bigger projects such as a Michael Cameron music video.

I will definitely be using this picture style in this upcoming music video due to the dynamic range difference and control you get within post.
I am very excited to start shooting this music video. We are taking our time to plan all the shots out and everything. We are looking to shoot with the 5D Mark II and my Canon 60D for the 60fps. We will be shooting this to his song 'Crash'
Definitely check him out and definitely stay tuned for this music video because I can't describe how excited I am to kill this project. We are starting an entire new name and company for this music video. We plan on working with Michael Cameron for a series of music videos to follow.
Check his MixTape out here

If you have any cool names for our new company please leave a comment.
I guess that is about it! Thanks for reading and watching.

Beautiful People - Action Short Film

We shot this mainly for a test from a bigger idea we had. This video was kind of go with the flow. We just made it up as we went and only took 2 hours to shoot. The editing took a little longer about 5 hours and was a little more difficult because of the special effects. They are a little rough and need some work, especially the blood. Well it was definitely a learning experience and was a lot of fun to see the outcome. Hope you like it!

Le Chasse Part Deux

So Collin made it into West Chester last weekend to work on some graphic intros on After Effects. At the same time TJ Brown had a strong urge to take another shot at making Le Chasse. Our original part one can be seen here. After going no where in After Effects we decided to make them the next morning and start shooting the movie. We didn't have much of a plan for the first one and basically just ran around town since I was able to get my hands on a steadi cam.
In part deux you will see a substantial upgrade in equipment using two DSLRs a slider and steadi cam. It had more of a story even though we kinda shot it on the fly again. It only took us a couple hours to shoot and a couple more hours to edit. So sit back relax and enjoy part deux and be sure to check out part one to get the full effect. We will definitely be shooting either part three or a totally new yet relavent short film.

New Under Water Edit

GoPro impresses once again.

This was our second and more experienced attempt of getting some gopro footage underwater. Definitely a huge improvement. This will most likely be part of the recruiting video too.

Unfortunately the lens of the housing was scratched during the making of this video. You might be able to notice it especially with the shots outside of the water. I am gonna need to get a new housing.
